The Persian has a stunning thick silky coat but this will need grooming everday to prevent matts and knots. He will also need occassional baths and it is a good idea to start this as a kitten so the cat get used to it. The large eyes can attract dirt and should be wiped daily.

The Perisan likes to be nearer floor level so you are unlikely to find him climbing shelves. They prefer calm gentle handling and are laid back and sweet natured. They will 'talk' to their owns but do the majority of communication through there large expressive eyes.
